Atiya Brown, CPA
Atiya S. Brown is a CPA, CA, and a Certified Financial Educator Instructor with over 20 years of experience in the accounting and finance world. Dually licensed in both Canada and the USA as a Certified Public Accountant, she excels at solving complex tax issues for her clients.
Atiya’s career began at a Big 4 Accounting Firm before transitioning to the Financial Services industry. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at The John Molson School of Business (JMSB) at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, finishing in the top 5 of her graduating class before passing the Chartered Accountancy examination to become a CPA, CA.
Her obsession with numbers led her to choose accounting as her career, and her passion for tax began at the age of 20 when she was recruited to join a university team to compete in a national case competition her 1st year in University. Her team finished third in all of Canada in their first year, sparking her love for tax strategy. Atiya enjoys figuring out each unique situation and how to best solve its case, a passion that continues to drive her success today.
She is married and has 2 children so her weekends are filled with one sport or another.
