Alyson Brands, CPA, MBA

Alyson commenced her journey with HM&M as an intern in 2011 while pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. Graduating Summa Cum Laude, she further distinguished herself by completing her master’s degree in December 2012 and successfully passing the CPA exam, leading to her full-time engagement with the firm in January 2013. Alyson’s academic pursuits culminated in an MBA from UT Dallas in December 2015. Her dedication and expertise were recognized with a promotion to Senior Manager in July 2021.

Alyson’s professional repertoire encompasses a diverse array of industries, including employee benefit plans, real estate, oil & gas, nonprofits, and healthcare. Beyond her professional commitments, Alyson is an avid traveler with a thirst for exploring global cultures and a passion for water skiing at Lake Cypress Springs.
