Veronica Barboza

Veronica graduated from Midwestern State University in 2018 with her B.B.A in Accounting and in 2019, while starting on her Master’s in Accounting at UTD, she began an internship at HM&M. After graduating from UTD in 2020 she started her CPA journey and has been a licensed CPA since 2021. Veronica knew that she wanted to pursue a career in tax after being involved with the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program in Wichita Falls, where she provided free tax preparation services to those in her community. She loved interacting with individuals by helping them better understand their tax situation and how to plan for their future.

Since starting at HM&M, she has worked with a wide variety of clients in different industries including high net-worth individuals, healthcare, real estate, and professional services. Her favorite aspect is building client relationships and being a valuable resource to them.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, two cats and dog. She also loves puzzles, watching movies, and reading.
